Alan Rule – B.Comm, B.Acc, CA

Mr Rule was appointed Chief Financial Officer on 1 July 2005. He is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in the mining industry in Australia. He held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Western Metals Limited and more recently St Barbara Mines Limited. He has considerable experience in international financing of mining projects and implementation of accounting controls and systems. Mr Rule was previously Finance Director of Asia Iron Holdings Limited. Mr Rule is a Non-Executive Director of Resource Mining Corporation Limited. During the past three years Mr Rule has not served as a director of any other public company.

David Berg – B.Comm, LLB

Mr Berg was appointed Company Secretary and General Counsel on 21 August 2008. He is a commercial and corporate lawyer with experience in advising on a diverse range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, ASX Listing Rules, capital raisings, ore sales agreements and dispute resolution. Prior to joining Mount Gibson, Mr Berg was Legal Counsel at a large, diversified private company and, before that, worked for Freehills Perth in their Corporate Group.

Jim Beyer – B.Eng (Mining), MAusIMM

Mr Beyer is a Mining Engineer with a broad range of operating and start up experience encompassing 25 years across a number of commodities including gold, copper/uranium and lead/zinc. In the past ten years he held general management roles in both operational and planning with WMC Resources at its Olympic Dam operation, and Newmont Mining Corporation. He has extensive new mine construction and start up experience including Operations General Manager for the recently constructed Boddington Gold Mine, where he had responsibility for start-up preparations, commissioning and production ramp up. Mr Beyer also holds a post graduate Masters majoring in Mineral Economics. Mr Beyer also holds a Masters degree in Geoscience (Mineral Economics).

Robert Mencel – B.Eng, MBA, MAusIMM
General Manager – Koolan Island Operations

Mr Mencel is a mining engineer with extensive experience developing and operating a wide range of engineering, mining and mineral processing operations. He was previously the Operations Manger responsible for the start-up of Normandy Limited’s Ground Rush gold mine. Mr Mencel has held other senior operational and project management roles with Tenix Projects Pty Ltd, Tenix Defence Pty Ltd, WMC Ltd, Normandy Ltd, North Flinders Mines Ltd, and Glengarry Resources Ltd.

Rod Young
General Manager - Tallering Peak Operations

Mr Young has 26 years experience in a wide range of mining operations in both Australia, West Africa and Botswana. He has spent a number of years specifically managing iron ore operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Mr Hewitt is a mining engineer with 27 years experience developing and operating a wide range of mining and engineering operations in Australia. He has also spent a number of years specifically managing iron ore operations in Western Australia.
